The Jackson JS3 Spectra Electric Bass Guitar Metallic Red combines versatile styling with massive sound.
The artist was at the forefront of the design of the brand-new offset body type. The broad upper horn and poplar body equally distribute weight throughout the instrument, allowing for hours of comfortable playing by reducing neck dip. The speed neck contour and 12"-16" compound radius laurel fingerboard with 24 frets provide rock-solid reliability, while the graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design provides lightning-fast performance.
The sound of the Spectra Bass JS3 is as individual as the bassist who plays it. Dual passive Jackson medium-output humbucking pickups generate a huge low-end growl, whether in funk, hard rock, or gospel, while a HiMassTM bridge gives better stability, improved sustain, and louder tone. With a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, 3-band EQ (active only), blend control, and volume control (with a push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the 3-band EQ), tone can be further adjusted and tweaked. You'll never have to worry about a battery dying and loosing sound with the push/pull selection. With a short pull on the volume knob, you can bypass the active circuit and get sound from the bass without using any battery power.
The 4-string, 34"-scale Spectra Bass JS3 features a unique Jackson 2x2 headstock with an unobtrusive J logo and comes dressed in a Metallic Red finish with black nickel hardware.
